The hurricane has passed, my area luckily didn’t experience much damage, especially in my neighborhood. I was one of the fortunate ones that retained power throughout the hurricane, and when it went over land it got somewhat closer to my place. There was some flickering of the lights and a few moments without power, but that was the most it did to the electricity.
Besides that, I just want to address a bit of grammar related issues that may or may not have arisen in everything that I’ve posted. I, for one, am not the strongest in terms of my English. It’s been a wonder how I’ve been able to keep up sometimes in my English class when they tell me it’s a present-something tense, and whatnot. I get confused between them. I just make sure it sounds right, and leave it at that.
That’s why I don’t get the best scores for English, and I’m pursuing a career in something more scientific and math-wise. It’s something creative in a sense as well, and that seems perfect to me. English-wise, I can get the job done for the most part, and for the IB (International Baccalaureate) exam that I took I got a 5 out of 7 for English and the rest was basically a 4 (it means I barely passed). Just knowing that I had a higher score for English doesn’t mean much to me however, I didn’t particularly like any of the reads that were given to me, and I definitely don’t see myself working with words on a daily basis of more than 3-5 hours.
That’s why I just want anyone reading to know that I’m not the strongest at English, but I’ll try to the best of my capabilities to make it easy to read and understand. Sometimes you may notice a typo or two in my posts, and maybe a sentence or two that doesn’t make sense at all. I’m open to corrections like those, so please let me know, and maybe drop a suggestion as to how I could better convey that particular matter. Other than that however, I think I’ve got my “their” or “they’re” and “your” or “you’re” pretty well, but still do help me out in improving my site/blog for others. Thanks!
